Great! I found that i havent been blogging for... i cant count how long! Yea, work been keeping me REALL busy. Its packed with people everyday! And i really meant everyday..!
Besides work, refering back to my last post. Yea, about my flat application. We settled with Punggol Ripples. Unit selected, 7th floor with the roof top garden view. Of cos, these came with an extra price. It shall be up in 3yrs or less. So i shall be married within these years. Hahaha!!
Well, shall update soon again. I hope. :)

Been hectic. Endless trainings and stuff to do. Work load is stressing everyone. Been working more than 12hours a day. No off day for the whole of last week. Tues was even working 18hrs since 0830 till 2am for delivery. Really really tired. Good news was we passed the PWC inspection. And we are approaching the hotel's opening in 2weeks time. Really excited.
Though was holding the same position as previous, current's load and responsibility was so much more. Tons of emails to clear everyday and we are doing things that DMs are doing in the previous hotel. e.g Planning for leaves, roster, conducting trainings, having the juniors to report to us when they're late or on mc. There's very much more to be named.
Moved to hotel site last week. Aircon was really freezing cold. We wonder how are we gonna work under the temperature without a jacket. But all of us can't wait to put on our uniform and rock' & roll~

Really in love with the Hard Rock culture and attitude. Its what makes us unique. Definitely a fun environment to work in. Update soon again. Till then...

4 off days this week cos there will not be any off next week. It was a long weekend off last week, Sat, Sun and Mon. Was supposed to be another long weekend off this week on Fri till Sun. But was changed to today due to Handover of level 4 rooms this coming Sat. Will be back to site to do snagging of rooms with the Housekeeping team. I guess the general defects will still be there. Helped out with some receiving of delivery last night. And now my arms are aching! Pillows, Duvet, Towels. They weigh a ton that we can only "roll" the boxes!
Headed to IT fair at Expo with BF. He pampered himself with a laptop that cost a whopping $2299! But it was a good deal. We were showered with 10 free gifts! Lol.
Mambo night was crazy! I look forward to unwind again~ Hotel opening is approaching in a month. There ain't much time left to party! Went No.5 the other day with Jo and Anders. It was really great to catch up with one another once in awhile. And there are so much more people i needa catch.
Time for my precious sleep. I'll head out for another jog tomorrow! :)

BF's mum suggested us to start applying for flats some time back and BF happens to chance upon an advert on the papers showing HDB is opening application 17-30 Nov for two new build to order projects in Punggol. Punggol Ripples and Punggol Sails. We went thru it online today and decided to go for Punggol Sails. Ain't much difference in both actually. Just our personal preference.

Gotta say new flats nowadays ain't big. But its gonna be a well developed area in the near future and 5mins from MRT/LRT. Will be applying online and wait for the results. If not, BF's mum found back up. Upcoming Queenstown and Clementi area. FAR!!

Finally i find time to blog!
Busy! With SOPs, training manuals, Hard Rock training....etc
The list really go on and on and on. Cos Hard Rock is a international brand, we need to know everything about HR. Will be attending a 4day training at end of the month. This is only one of the many trainingsss. Been going to site. Super dusty, super dangerous with pranks, muds, nails etc. Its really a good experience. Like my bosses always say, how rare it is to watch a hotel build up and help in setting up the placce you're gonna work in. Opening hotel, yes. Not rare. But 4 properties (for now), yes it may never happen a 2nd time.
Went snagging of rooms today. Contractors handed over 92 rooms on 3rd floor for us yesterday. Basically to spot defects of the entire room. All other 3 hotels were under the same contractor. Except for Hard Rock. And sadly, work ending piece wasnt good at all. We filled the whole worksheet with comments! But lucky thing was aircon in rooms are up running. Imagine us in a enclosed building, with no toilet, no air circulation, no aircon! Yes, we perspire like free. Even now with aircon. We are all growing pimples, having sore throat. Have to use PPE - Personal protective equipment. Thick, heavy boots, jeans and helmut!! Imagine how dripping wet we are. Will be starting night shift next week. Delivery coming in past midnight. We'll be working with torchlights! The place only have temp lamps on. And it black ouut pretty often.
Thankfully it was a Sat on grandma's 49th day prayer. I got to go. But not gonna be for the 100th day, which we'll be going cemetery for the 1st time after grandma is cremented. I really wanna be there. But the chance is really really slim... We might not even get off days at all.
I seriously feel bad, having to use the red RWS polo top. Grandma had only passed away 53days. I shouldnt even be using red. But its a uniform. I really got no choice. Sorry grandma..
Im tired already. Ill update soon again. Pics will be later part cos of P&C so hold, people. But im proud of this team. They are really fun people. And we are proud. Cos the other 3 hotels have the same contractor, same uniform! Hard Rock have our very own uniform. Purple (Hard Rock color) top with black pants and pointed shoes/heels! We love!!

Weekends are here again. :)
Past one week was at Site office for Opera training. Pretty much what i've already knew. Except for some new ones like transfering charges from another hotel over to mine. 6 hotels in total. Over 100 f&b outlets, no bills will be given to FO = no bucket check. But we wonder what to do if guest have dispute or would like to have the bill? Equals nothing to fall back on.
Many things are still on-going. SOPs especially. Tons of them and lots of planning and brain cracking coming. Will be back to Corporate office next week, followed by Pandan Garden (AGAIN!) for training on Sat and Sun. Replacement off will be on the following week.
Busy! Busy!
Things are moving faster as expected. Will update closer to date. Currently, P&C.
Will be going on site to view the hotel pretty soon. Looking forward to it. THEN!! it'll be room fitting~ Email been flooded with lots of work etc. Weekends still = to work. (Except its at home.) Fell sick for the past 3days. On and off fever till 38.5, flu and sore throat. Perhaps the site was too dusty. On the edge of recovering. Cant believe it. 10 over days past work and ive taken my first mc! BUT!! Its so amazing mc is not unpaid leave even when we're not confirmed staff.

Weekends are here!! And for the very first time i scream Yayness to weekends! Why? Cos im gonna have weekends off permanantly, at least for the next 1 month plus! :)
Training, orientation and more training. Everyone got different task on hand and its gonna be more and more as time goes. Right now, myself will be heading Opera training come Monday, follow by Room Fitting in Nov, whereby my duties will be assisting to place in furnitures for the rooms, checking for defects etc..
Its something i really look forward to, even though its gonna be a tough job. We went to one of the 4 houses our owner own in Sentosa Cove today to take a look at the mock ups for the 4 hotels. (Another 2 due to open at later part of 2010-2011)
The rooms were beautiful, but a pity that no photographs allowed as of now.
Nonetheless, a great experience awaits ahead.. And everyone were equally excited as things progress..
